How soon would i start period after stopping Prometrium?… by ane
I am on day 31. I am taking Clomid days 3-7 to ovulate, and then Prometrium on days 18-30 to thicken the uterine walls to aid in implantation. Because of it keeping the lining there, i wouldn't have a period until i stop the meds. I stopped last night and now i either have to wait for a period or to see if i'm pregnant. My nipples have been tender for a week now and i sort of feel like i could start. (when i was pregnant in may (miscarried) i felt as though i could start at any minute). Just wondering if anyone had been on this drug and how long it took to see if they were pregnant or to start their period (if i ovulated this month…based on an ultrasound, it wouldn't have happened until day 20). Thanks.

I too take Clomid and Prometrium for the same reason. I also had a previous miscarriage. However, I take Prometrium from day 16 until I start my period or until the end of my first trimester if I become pregnant. I have not heard of anyone just taking it until day 30 and stopping. Prometrium has never delayed my period coming. (Before switching to Prometrium, I use to take Prochieve, which was a progesterone cream that had to be inserted vaginally. That was messy and usually delayed my periods for up to 6 days.)
Tender nipples are a good early sign of pregnancy. When I was pregnant, I had some light cramping around the time of my expected period. I think it can be associated with implantation. Sounds like you could be pregnant. You might want to discuss with your doctor the option of taking the Prometrium until the end of your first trimester. I would hate for you to have another miscarriage if it can be avoided by continuing the Prometrium. It prevented me from having another miscarriage and I had a full term healthy baby girl. Best wishes to you.

How can I make Tamiflu taste better for my 8 year old?… by Kas
I declined the added flavoring option at our pharmacy today because it usually does not help. My son cannot take this medication without becoming nauseated. Any suggestions?
Best Answer:
i'd load him up with something starchy before taking the tamiflu… like salty french fries baked like in the oven .. i know that if he's sick he probably is not gonna want to eat much but make sure that he has mor solid then fluid in the belly before taking it…
after the tamiflu… give him ginger.. either ginger ale… or ginger cookies… i learned that if you give children fluid in “shot size” cups and only once every 25 mins they hold it down better…
ginger cookies help with the nausea and are a nice starchy treat… less likely to come up…
good luck hope he feels better!!!

Earlier this year i had heart surgery and now im on some medications and i was wondering what kind of dieting and exercises i can do, like running and weight lifting.
Best Answer:
Coumadin (warfarin) interferes with vitamin K clotting factors, thus you should avoid foods high in vitamin K, as this is the antidote for Coumadin. Such foods include: aparagus, beans, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, green tea, milk, mustard greens, spinach, swiss chard, turnips, yogurt.
Avoid intramuscular injections & activities leading to injury (contact sports). Use a soft toothbrush, do not floss your teeth, & shave with an electric razor. DO NOT take over-the-counter medication without consulting with your doctor. DO NOT take aspirin or NSAIDs. Have your labs draw according to the MDs order to determine clotting times. Report to your MD any signs of bleeding: black tarry stools, gum bleeding, nosebleeds, unusual bruising.
Coreg (carvedilol): antihypertensive/beta-blocker. May cause dizziness . . . change positions slowly. May increase sensitivity to cold weather. Talk to MD before taking over-the-counter meds such as cold medication.

What can I do or what products can I use to relieve my dry eyelids?… by treehugger
My eye lids get dry easily. I've tried putting lotion on it, but it ends up causing redness and irritation. Sometimes Aveeno will work, but the dryness will come back within a few minutes. Is there a gentle fashwash out there or a daily procedure I can do to relieve my dry eyelids? Is it my eyeshadow, facewash, or the weather that's causing the dryess?
Best Answer:
You most likely have eczema which is very common on the eyelids. You want to use a mild cortisone cream when it is flared up like 1% cortisone cream (cort-aid is a brand name) and just use moisturizer in between. Of course you must be careful not to get it into your eyes. A dermatologist would prescribe you a prescription strength mild cortisone cream like desonide lotion. Use a mild soap or cleanser like dove soap or purpose soap when you wash and be careful of all the makeup removers and toners, they can be very drying to someone with sensitive skin.

What would be a good area of study for an average chap such as me to pursue to become more intelligent?… by parrotdar
I need advice on significant areas of study to look into so that I can remain a bright chap and possess some insight.
Best Answer:
Best question I've encountered tonight!
It's not important that you are a wealth of information, you also need to be intelligent in many areas.
According to Howard Gardner there are nine types of intelligence:
Linguistic intelligence
Logical-mathematical
Musical intelligence
Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence
Spatial intelligence
Interpersonal intelligence
Intrapersonal intelligence
Naturalist intelligence
Spiritual intelligence
Existential intelligence
If you pursue and possess several of these types of intelligence you should be cruising through life. I know a guy who has an IQ of 200, however, he is alone because he could not maintain a good relationship with anyone. Though it's nice to have an IQ that high, it does not guarantee happiness in life.
